It's been a while

But we are still here. I give you this as proof...

Mark it down

Since this is the way I remember things about Ryan, I am recording this here.

On the evening of March 27th, 2013, Ryan got undressed and ready for bed entirely on his own. Such a proud moment for him!

The Snow Saga

It's snowing again. It's kind of funny at this point. We had a day off from the snow, and now we're at it again. We accumulated 30+ inches between midnight Friday morning (or would it be considered Thursday night?) and late Saturday afternoon. What's a couple more when you already have 30, right?

We're still here!

Nemo is still pounding us. Last count was 29.3 inches of snow at the airport. I don't have an exact count for what we have here at the house. The drifts are too weird. There are places where the ground is bare and others that are as tall as me. If I can get out later, I'll take some pictures. For now, here are some of me and Ryan playing yesterday.

Finding Nemo

I just had to :)

We're coming to you live from the beginnings of what is being said to be an historic storm. Ryan and I are home on snow days today. Nik is at work and is unfortunately scheduled for the whole weekend. We'll keep you updated as this goes on, but so far we are good to go. Lots of food and firewood. We are low on cat food, but I think they'll survive. More later!

A bowl full of mush

That's me. A bowl full of mush. I just put Ryan down for the night. I was rocking in his peaceful room and smelling his toddler head while I listened to the sound of his clock tick. I was suddenly overwhelmed with how much I love him. I was almost in tears and could hardly breathe just thinking about how awesome it is to be his mom.

My first thought after this episode was something along the lines of you-are-a-blubbering-idiot.

The second was: I wonder if this is how God feels when He thinks about loving me...

...just something to think about.
